NOTE: You must have a library card to check out a Hotspot Device

Stay connected wherever you go. Colleton County Memorial Library offers free internet hotspot devices for checkout, giving you reliable mobile internet access at home, on the road, or anywhere you need it!

What is a MIFI Hotspot?

A MIFI Hotspot is like a cell phone that allows you to connect any WIFI enabled device to it and use it as a internet connection. Just like your Cell Phone HOTSPOT feature, except this one doesn't make phone calls and doesn't eat up your usage minutes on your cell phone bill. We have two different types that we use when you check one out.

Please remember, if you are using a MIFI device in your home and are having trouble maintaining a good internet connection, place the device in a location of your home where you get good cell phone service. If you don't get good cell service in your area, the hotspot device may not work in your home.
