The South Carolina Bar partners with public libraries to offer free Law Talks led by licensed attorneys or judges. Each session includes a 30–45-minute presentation and Q&A, providing general legal education on various topics rather than advice on individual legal matters.

Brief topic overview + Q&A with volunteer attorney
The South Carolina Bar has partnered with public libraries across the state to offer the Law Talk program. Law talks are free education events open to the public. Each Law Talk is taught by a SC licensed attorney or judge and typically includes a 30–45-minute presentation followed by a brief question and answer session. They are designed to provide general legal education on the topic presented, not provide guidance on an individual’s specific situation.
