CHANGE IN PUBLIC LIBRARY SERVICE HOURS:
Beginning Monday, September 28, the Colleton County Memorial Library (600 Hampton Street) will be expanding hours of operation.
The Main library in Walterboro will be open for public access,
Monday - Friday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The library will now have Juvenile hours where youth 10 to 16 may visit the library without a parent or guardian. Children under the age of 10 will still need a parent or guardian to accompany them to the library.
Juvenile hours will take place during after school hours:
Monday - Friday (3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
Saturday (10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
All Juveniles who visit the library unattended must abide by the City of Walterboro's mask mandate and wear a mask at all times within the library building. They must also adhere to the library's code of conduct policy and practice social distancing, as recommended by the CDC.
Juveniles who wish to visit the library during normal school hours: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 pm. will still need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian who assumes responsibility for them.
Thank you for your understanding and patience as library administration attempts to phase back to regular hours of operation, as well as provide a safe library experience for all patrons.
If you have anyquestions please contact the Main library at (843) 549-5621
