“Published Book Illustrator!”

All Proceeds to Benefit the Colleton County Memorial Library. 

Previous Best Illustrator Contest Winners who did not get a copy of the

2008 – 2011 Illustrate-A-Books, will receive a copy if they attend the program on

January 26, 2012 at 6:00 pm.

Awards Day/Illustrate-A-Book Program

o   Come and celebrate the winners of the 11th Annual Illustrator’s Contest and 7th Illustrate-A-Book Program

o   The 3 Little Pigs Song by Shiela M. Keaise and illustrated by local Colleton County Illustrator Contest winners

o   Meet the published illustrators on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 6 pm

 

African American History Program   

o   All ages are invited to Bright Star Children’s Theatre: Harriet Tubman

o   Inspiring family friendly program, door prizes & refreshments.

o   Co-sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Book Signing

  • Crishtan King and Christie Inabinett will be here to talk about and sign copies of Cristan's book, Miracle After Miracle.

Poetry Day

o   All ages are invited to come, read, learn 5 different types of poems, and listen to original poetry by local teens

o   No registration required and participants may bring their own poems to read on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 6 pm

 

Youth Volunteer Training

o    Ages 12 – 21 may participate!  Youths will be trained in library etiquette, following instructions, assisting patrons, participating in programs, and public speaking! Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 4 – 7 pm

 

Summer Reading Program

o   Starts exactly one week after school ends  (June & July 2012)

o   Read books, attend programs, participate in contests, earn prizes, win door prizes & more;  Tues (10am), Wed (10am), Thurs (10am & 6pm)
