Q. What if the Library doesn’t have the book I want?
A. The Library can often borrow books it doesn't own from libraries outside
the system through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
Q. What types of materials can be borrowed through ILL?
A. We can borrow books (primarily non-fiction), microforms, and photocopies
of articles.
Q. What types of materials cannot be borrowed through ILL?
A. We generally cannot borrow audio or videotapes, DVDs, books less than one
year old, high-demand books, books we already own, or reference books.
Q. Does ILL cost anything and how long does it take?
A. There is currently no charge for ordering materials via ILL. It usually
takes 2-4 weeks to locate, order, and receive items, but it can be longer or
shorter.
Q. Do I need anything to order an ILL?
A. All you need is a valid library card without fines or fees on your
record.
Q. How long may I keep the ILL?
A. Date dues vary according to the lender.
Q. How do I request an ILL?
A. Please ask for assistance from our Reference Librarian or request
assistance at the Circulation Desk.
